A mid-century modern home originally designed by Norton Polivnick in Westminster’s Sunset Lanes, is not being restored/renovated by its current owner, architect Josh Robinson.

In the 14 years that I have been exploring Denver’s mid-century modern architecture, one truth that I have discovered about how mid-mod neighborhoods eventually end up “on the map” is through those few first homeowners that realize what they have behind years of past owners’ neglect and put in the elbow grease into bringing it back . . . they inspire others . . . and the rest is history.

These are those homeowners in Sunset Lanes (architect Josh Robinson and furniture maker Brett Anderson). Who are those homeowners in your neighborhood?

I got to tour both of these homes this evening with Docomomo US/Colorado, and it was well worth the visit to see their progress!
