Cliff May Home in Harvey Park at dusk. Photo by Atom Stevens.

My wife and I moved into the Cliff May Homes in Denver’s Harvey Park nearly 18 years ago. We had no idea what we had just bought when we bought it; we just knew that it was something we could afford, and that there was something about it that was like no other home we had ever seen.

12 years ago, I started really digging into what these homes were, and discovered a richer story than I could have possibly imagined. It’s a story that I keep digging into and learning more about to this day, and at the same time, I have gotten to teach Harvey Park, Denver, and people across the country all about these special and historic homes.

I have given hour-long presentations (in person and remote), led walking tours (also in person and remote!), written magazine articles, organized home tours, visited several tracts in other states, and even got to meet Cliff May’s daughter, Hillary Jessup.

I have come to realize that I am indeed one of the national experts on these unique and deceptively simple homes – but am careful not to shout that too loudly, because I know there is still so much I have to learn about them.

Even though I am a real estate agent, I have yet to have the honor to sell one of these amazing homes. I hope that someday, I will be entrusted with that honor.

In the mean time, whether you live in a Cliff May Home or not, don’t hesitate to contact me with your questions about them. I have TONS of resources to share and I will never tire of telling this tale.
