In yesterday’s blog post, I mentioned interior designer H. Albert Phibbs, who was a friend of interior designer Bob Biesk. This INCREDIBLE raised ranch home in Arvada’s Scenic Heights area was designed by Phibbs for his family. The south-facing bank of windows seen here is protected by an 8′-deep roof overhang (even deeper on the right side). If you wonder how those roof beams could possibly extend so far, the secret is that the beams are actually steel, boxed out in wood.
The home was built by Carey Construction Co. in the early 1960s.
